Shri Prince Shivaji Maratha Boarding House, 1061,'A' ward,Shivaji Peth ,Kolhapur which has bagged the prestigious ideal Educational Institution Award in 2003 instituted by the State Government of Maharashtra. Late Cbb.Shahu Maharaja of Kolhapur in memory of his second son late Prince Shivaji founded this Institution in1920 in order to provide with lodging, Boarding and Educational Facilities, free or at Concessional rates to deserving Students from Rural and Economically Backward Castes and Communities. Our Institution runs two Boy's Hostels, two independent Ladies Hostels and more than 400 Boys and Girls benefit from these Hostels. , 1 Primary School, one Polytechinc,one B.P.Ed College, one College of Architecture and one Guidance Centre for Competitive Examinations.
Maharashtra High School and Junior College was started in 1960. The New College, Established in 1971, imparts Education in Arts, Science, Commerce, and Electronics and Computer Science. Our B.P.Ed College called as College of Physical Education Unchgaon Kolhapur. Which is started from 14 Sep 1990 College of 400 meter Track, Gymnastics, Judo, Wrestling, Foot ball, Hockey Basket Ball, Kabaddi, Kho-Kho, Lawn Tennis, Hand Ball, T-T, Soft Ball and any other Play Grounds. It has achieved High Physical and Academic Standards and Number of Students have been placed in the Merit list of Shivaji University. A number of Students of this College have represented various Sports Meets at International, National ,State, Inter University and University level and Won many Medals, Shields and Certificates. Our B.P.Ed. College also conducted School District,State,National Leval Athaletics,Kabaddi,Kho-Kho,Gymnastics ,Soft Ball L Lawn Tennis Competitions.
That is why this College is called 'Quality College'. A number of students of this college have been successful at the Different Institutions Secondary and Higher Secondary such as Physical Education Teacher , Police,Railway,Military and MPSC examination and they are rendering their Services for the Central and State Governments.Devale High School is our secondary school for spreading Education in Rural economically backward area. Our New Polytechnic, started in 1983,runs the courses of Diploma in Auto Engineering, Construction Technology, Industrial Electronics and Mechanical Engineering. It boasts of well furnished labs, Class Rooms, Workshops and Various facilities and hi produced good, Efficient quality Engineers.

I am honored to say that our College of Architecture which is hosting this Zonal NASA convention was established in1984 and has become one of the best Colleges in India.
Our college stood 3 rd in NASA 2002 at Chennai, Tamilnadu.
